Uit het niets was ze daar: de demo zangeres die heel Nederland veroverde met “Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor”, een sfeervolle en toegankelijke plaat vol ballroom jazz, filmische tango’s, groovende jazz en aanstekelijke mambo’s. Binnen een jaar na de release verkochten Caro en haar producers David Schreurs en Jan van Wieringen maar liefst 250.000 albums op hun eigen label Grandmono Records.
Met hits als “Back It Up”, “A Night Like This”, “That Man” en “Stuck” veroverden Caro en haar team daarna de rest van Europa. Ze wonnen talloze nationale en internationale awards en behaalden goud en platina in onder andere Nederland (6x), Engeland, Duitsland, Polen (3x) en goud in Oostenrijk, Zwitserland en Italië. In totaal ging het album maar liefst 1,3 miljoen keer over de toonbank. Caro speelde met haar live band door heel Europa, en verkocht recentelijk zelfs de prestigieuze Royal Albert Hall in Londen uit. Ondertussen wordt haar muziek grijsgedraaid.
